The Beaverbrook Art Gallery offers FREE admission and programs to visitors of all ages on the last Sunday of each month from 12 pm to 5 pm!

Create festive FROSTival skating scenes using pastel and watercolour

Ishrat Zahan has been painting since she was very young. In her paintings, she loves to capture the beauty of nature, objects and the places around her. Also she likes to focus on the lights and shades for her painting. She does water colour, oil, acrylic and mixed media paintings.

Spoon carving demonstration with Adam Weaver

From utilitarian spoons to rustic cups and bowls, Adam Weaver creates his work using age old techniques: that means no power tools! Learn about traditional wood carving from someone who has traveled and practiced carving in England, Wales, Uganda, and across Canada! Gain a deeper understanding of woodworking from Adam, and explore an exhibition of works by Gordon Dunphy in the Lower Gallery.

Adam teaches a wood crafting course at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, and is the Community Development Coordinator at The Ville Cooperative, where he also mentors interns in regenerative agriculture.

Vintage photo dioramas

Construct a scene using black and white images of New Brunswick from the Provincial Archives! Photographer Gary Weekes will assist you in taking professional photos of your diorama to be exhibited in the Sobey Youth Art Space in February.

Gary Weekes has lived and worked in London and New York and now calls Fredericton his home. He is a photographer and educator (UNB College of Extended Learning). He has a life-long love of imagery, shape, and form that dates back as long as he can remember.

FROSTival Jam with Oscar Tecu Bring your instruments or use our musical toys and join in! Oscar Tecu is a musician and record producer. His band Chillteens released their latest album, Sweet Songs, in 2018.
