Fredericton’s favourite winter celebration, FROSTival, kicks off January 18th! Celebrate winter with more than 100 events; dynamic, action-packed activities over 3 weekends in the Greater Fredericton area (January 18 – February 4) 

The first weekend (January 18 -21) of FROSTival ramps up with the Shivering Songs Music Festival (January 16 – 21).  Iconic venues enhance the ambiance of the musical talents of featured performers, including the Bahamas with the Weather Station, Catherine MacLellan, and David Myles.

Friday night, (January 19) join Matt Mays and July Talk with Special Guests at the Richard J. Currie Center, presented by Sonic Concerts. The NB Country Showcase and the Maritime Gospel Music Association present special performances, and sing along as Shivering Songs presents: By the Fire with Evan Leblanc in Officers’ Square (January 20).

Dine Around Freddy is back for another delicious year!
Visit a new restaurant and try a new dish during Dine Around Freddy (January 18 – February 4).  Special fine dining menus are featured at 11 Fredericton restaurants, specially created by local chefs, guaranteed to please the palate and compliment this unique culinary experience. Enjoy a three-course meal for $31 with a portion of sales supporting the Fredericton Community Kitchens, Student Hunger program. Be sure to make restaurant reservations for this popular culinary event!

Yoga, oysters, and craft beer? Oh, yeah!
Expand your flavour favourites this weekend at one of many unique taste-tempting events.  Hygge: Winter Beer & Oysters are on the menu at the King Street Ale House (January 18), FrostiBeer Yoga at Maybee Brewing (January 21), take the Tour de Beer (January 20), and drop in to one of our great weekend markets.

Always popular hands-on learning workshops, edVentures Fredericton and UNB Leisure Learning, are filling up quickly. Register today for water colour painting, ice carving, and beginner knitting, just to name a few! While downtown, see carvers at work at the ice sculpture showcase. With many locations throughout the downtown you’ll be delighted to find carved creations around every corner.

Winter – just the way you want it!
Bundle up and hit the slopes of Crabbe Mountain with special nightly rates, Never Ever Day (January 21), and Après Ski in the Thirsty Boot Lounge (January 20).  Killarney Lake is home to Wostawea x-country ski club’s Maritime Cup Classic Skiing (January 20) and Skate Skiing (January 21), do an architectural scavenger hunt, or book a sleigh ride at Oakland Farm & Lodge.
