FROSTival 2018 is packed with tantalizing tastiness from start to finish.

Dine Around Freddy
A fine dining tradition you won’t want to miss! Whether you dine before or after taking in many of the FROSTival events, expand your FROSTival experience by trying a new dish, visit a new restaurant, and enjoy a delicious meal professionally created and prepared just for you!  An amazing special menu, $31, three course meal at one of 10 fine dining restaurants in Fredericton proves why Dine Around Freddy has established itself as a FROSTival favourite.

Meet you at the market!
Your tasty tour includes stops at the Fredericton Boyce Farmers’ Market, The Northside Market, and the Cultural Market every weekend. Sample something new! Introduce yourself to Korean, Greek, Chinese, Syrian, and Canadian fare (just to name a few!) and jump into diversity fork first. Gluten free and vegan options? Absolutely! You’re sure to find something yummy to take home.

Steaming mugs of family fun
Wrap your mitts around a delightful cup of hot chocolate or warm apple cider while nibbling on baked goodies at a family skating party or one of several campfire sing along evenings with local musicians in Officers’ Square. The talent of our local musicians and toasty treats are a perfect combination.

Let the wine and creativity flow at Corked Wine Bar at one of three Creativity-Uncorked guided painting evenings. Offered every week of FROSTival (January 18, January 27, and February 3), share laughs with friends, try a new wine, and take home your own artistic treasure.

Six cheers for BEER, BEER, BEER, BEER, BEER, and did we mention…BEER?!

CHEERS! Shuck it up! The King Street Ale House celebrates the Danish approach to getting cozy in the winter - hygge - with an evening of seasonal beer and Boss Gibson oysters, with drink selections from around the Maritimes and Quebec (January 18).

CHEERS! Fat bikes and frosty brew take centre stage on the Tour De Beer (January 20). Experience the great outdoors on fat bikes with beer stops along the way! Beer, food, and a guided tour of Fredericton on the Fatbikes/Winterbikes.

CHEERS! FrostiBeer Yoga, sure, why not…  Hopped Yoga will warm you up from the inside out with a light hearted, and all levels, 60 minute yoga practice, followed by a delicious craft beer tasting! Dress warmly; weather permitting the practice may be held outside for extra fun and exploration! (Round 1: January 21 at Maybee Brewing, Round 2: January 27 at Trailway Brewing). 

NB HopSpiel

CHEERS! Its hops and rocks at the NB HopSpiel and Beer Garden at the ice rink in Officers’ Square (January 27), featuring outdoor curling, chili, and craft beer. The Fredericton Craft Beer festival invites you to join them in a celebration of local craft beer and winter fun.)  Not a curler? Not a problem! Come for the brew, enjoy the entertainment.

CHEERS! Lace up your sneakers and work up a thirst in the Frosty Five (January 27). A 5km run plus a beer, coffee, and chili at the finish. Plus access to the FROSTival outdoor beer garden!

CHEERS! Fredericton has quickly become the Craft Beer capital of Atlantic Canada, see what all the “hop” is about on the FROSTival Brewery tour (February 3). Stop at three craft breweries to sample flights and meet the people serving it up! Each stop includes four samples and a great time.

The nose knows! Learn wine and whisky skills from experts.
Calling whisky enthusiasts! The intimate atmosphere of the Lunar Rogue is the perfect place to enjoy an afternoon of nosing and tasting single malt whisky from the whisky regions of Scotland with Frank Scott (February 3). You’ll see why we are home to one of the Great Whisky Bars of the World!

Port & Chocolate: Gallery 78
Partner a dry white port, tawny, reserve, and a crusted port with decadent local chocolate, you may find a new favourite! Roam Gallery 78 while sampling fortified wines paired with creamy chocolate. This decadent event will keep you warm on even the coldest of January nights (January 26). 

Global Gastronomy
Create your own flavourful Italian masterpieces with Mark Temilini. Explore Italian cuisine through this introduction to a Taste of Italy. Spirited and diverse, this UNB Leisure Learning workshop (January 20) will guide you through a hands-on experience of cooking, preparing (and eating!) a typical home cooked Italian dish.  

Explore history and your own creativity as you reconstruct ancient foods through A Taste of Ancient Rome (January 27). Following historical texts and cookbooks, Mark Temilini will coach you in the preparation of fava bean salad, chicken with chestnut purée, and herbed cheese with arugula, just like you may have found in ancient Rome!

Taste of Sushi

Walk in a sushi novice, walk out an expert! At Sushi for Beginners you will learn to make sushi at home with instructor Amber Li. Practice makes perfect and mistakes are delicious! (January 28).
